I don't mind LIxLI, I don't generally consume content of such since I enjoy seeing LIxMC content the most but have to qualms with it!
Apologies for the long section below, but I believe it's necessary: I enjoy Caleb (love and deepspace) and most Caleb related content. I read up on the cn ver to gain a fuller understanding of his character, the differences etc. I am all localisation friendly, open to understanding all bc I am generally and genuinely curious about things!
I view them as similar but sort of separate as the changes in EN changes the foundation of their dynamic. None are 'wrong', all are equally valid to me. It is very worthwhile to still read CN -> EN translations, for example, for other LIs too due to nuance being lost in translation/localisation at times which is very unfortunate...
There are different locs for people to enjoy, the core of his character still persists throughout, imo!
While I do not personally interpret Caleb's character under the 'pseudo-orthopedics' (伪骨科) trope, I don't have anything to say against it and am neutral with it. I understand what is being explored and feel that its elements are treated with care and respect by infold as opposed to other media that have used similar elements, namely in some anime. Though I don't generally engage too much with related content outside of character/memory analyses, again I am neutral with it! Different versions exist for us to interpret and enjoy!
I strongly believe CN/JP/KR should not be demonised and similarly, EN should not be seen as lesser than.
I won't ramble on about my personal interpretation of the character here. While I do not view him through the lens of the 伪骨科 trope, I understand that fiction =/= reality and that fiction can be a safe way to explore certain topics. However, there are times where it can affect reality so I curate my space accordingly such as avoiding heavy dark content or heavy content that would typically fall into dddne territory. I will mute/block when needed to protect my own peace and not bring unnecessary negativity to my TL outside of genuine warnings/PSAs for people and things like that!BUT to me, there's a difference between exploring their dynamic VS reducing them to only their trope and nothing else. There's a difference between exploring the 伪骨科 trope and the complexities it offers, especially in their internal landscapes VS sexualising their experience like Old Days Caleb and MC content, for example. Yes they might be fictional characters, but that's where I draw the line for myself because it's uncomfortable for me.

misogyny. I have no time for the belittling of people who live or have lived the female experience (I also have no time for misogyny towards the MC in lads. girl has cptsd!!!)
the condoning of racism, sexism, ableism, discrimination in any way
blatant incest, pedophilia, SA, bestiality, grooming
supporting, participating, tolerating, or justifying any of the above.
hate any LI from lads (esp sylus and caleb), or things like bringing down one LI to uplift another
incite or cause unnecessary drama, by extension, spreading misinformation, starting witch hunts etc. (there's a difference between calling out harmful situations like blatant homophobia and racism VS someone making a hc you don't agree with, for example)
post art/edits without proper credits or claim it's your content
participate in, repost or are ok with generative AI content. Especially content that uses ai for video edits of the LIs and/or their VAs in love and deepspace. It is beyond disrespectful and I can not condone it.
I won't fuel the fire when it comes to small drama. I will not and can not police what people enjoy in regards to tropes, works and depictions of fiction. I will simply mute/scroll and move along if there's anything I do not like!I value my own morals (being baseline decent to others) over unreasonable fandom drama/wars. I won't berate others, send death threats or cause harm or anything of the sort of behaviour.While I am not going to condemn anyone's choices in fictional tropes or darker content for that matter, if it's not my cup of tea I won't interact with or consume such content or bring it to my TL. I am not the arbiter for what people can or can not do, this is just a comfort thing for me. As long as we don't cause actual harm to others (intentional or not), be kind & tag appropriately, I have no qualms with anyone!(I know there's a LOT of animosity between sylus and caleb mains. I will not contribute to it and aim to keep my account a safe space for sylus and caleb enjoyers or even if you like them separately! I will, however, always be critical of Infold bc big corpos aren't our friends tbh)
